Team Leader

My Client is well established has a handful of children’s home across East Staffordshire, The midlands, Derbyshire and Yorkshire.

They are looking for a team leader to join their team in Birmingham, looking for someone who wishes to make a difference to children and young children’s life’s, They cater for children with a emotional and behavioural difficulties, help and give them the normality and support they need, Providing a high quality of residential care services for children of mixed gender and ages.

The level of support and development begins at the start of the interview and allows them to support you every step of the way. Training packages designed which also includes access to vocational qualification.

As a team leader you will be:-

* Supervising the more junior support staff

* Delivering hands on care to the children

* Managing the staff rota 1 day on 2 days off

* Administrating medications where appropriate,

* Keeping paperwork up to date on care plans

* Risk assessments behaviour management plans

Qualifications/Experience/Requirements

* Level 3 diploma in children and young people workforce or equivalent

* Need’s to be able to do sleep ins and be ok with rota working

* Be over 21 years old,

* Experience working in a children home, having a year of crisis support experience is beneficial but not essential

* UK driving licence needed as well as own vehicle

* Experience working in a children’s home

* Living within Driving distance Birmingham

Salary / Benefits

* £26,000 per year, 38 hours per week / £11.30 as an overtime rate

* 217 hours per year holiday,

* 6 -7 sleeps per month at £45b per sleep
