Synthetic Organic Chemists – Contract

We are looking for a number of chemists with experience in synthetic chemistry to carry out contract work for a CRO in the South East of the country.

You will work independently in common techniques for set up, analysis and work up of reactions, as well as being skilled in standard purification techniques. You will monitor reactions and analyse products; collecting and interpreting data as required. You will carry out training in unfamiliar techniques in order to develop new skills. You will work as a team to meet client deadlines and show flexibility when working to changing priorities. You will work to company policies, procedures and legal obligations regarding HSE.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of MSc, preferably a PhD and be able to demonstrate good understanding of organic chemistry. You will be able to identify routine problems, suggest and prioritise solutions and be competent in the use of scientific databases. You will be a good communicator and work well both independently and as part of a team.
