Standard hours: 7:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday to Friday (30 mins unpaid break)

Saturday morning by rota 8:00 am -12:00 (currently working 1 in every 6 weeks)

All hours worked above 40 are paid at time and a half and any hours worked before 7:00 am are at double time

We are not looking for someone who necessarily has experience in Valeting but someone who would enjoy this type of work and enjoys a physical role – You will be given full training on all the duties including H&S requirements.

You will be required to:

• Hold a full UK Driver License (car)
• Have legible handwriting
• Be in good health and be physically able to climb in and out of the trucks/vans with ease
• Have attention to detail and genuine interest in ensuring the vehicles are presented to a very high standard

The role will involve:

• Valeting a variety of vehicles from Light Commercial to HGVs
• Approximately 90% of your time will be in the yard getting the vehicles looking pristine
• You will be required to fill out vehicle ‘check sheets’ prior to the collection or the delivery of the vehicles and to report any existing/new damages to your line manager
• Site Maintenance/ Yard duties – ensuring all areas are clean, tidy and safe at all times
• Moving vehicles around the yard and collecting drivers who have just dropped a vehicle off at a customer’s premises and need a lift back to the depot (using company van)

Company Overview:

Our client is a well-established company, who have been in operation almost 65 years and are specialists in commercial vehicle rental. Their customers vary from both trade and retail and they have 6 rental depots, with fully equipped maintenance workshops in the North and South of England; from these depots they operate approximately 2000 vehicles (of which 900 are above 3.5 tons).

Hourly rates breakdown:

40 hours x £9.45 = £378 x 52 weeks= £19,656.00

7.5 hours x £14.18 = £111.9 x 52 weeks= £5,530.20

Saturday Mornings by Rota 4.0 hours x £ 14.18 x 9 weeks= £510.48

TOTAL Average Earnings Per Annum = £30,840.68

 Additional Info:

• 20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, holidays will increase by an additional day every 2 years of service, up

to a maximum of 25 days

• Contributory pension scheme effectively immediately
• Death in Service pay-out: two times annual salary after 12 months probationary period
