Duration: 9 Month Fixed Term Contract
Southern Water has an excellent opportunity for an Employee Relations Associate to join our varied HR department on a 9 Month Fixed Term Contract. The role will report into the Head of Employee Relations and will play a pivotal role in the review and update of Southern Waters HR policies and procedures.
The purpose of this role will be to provide expert knowledge and skills in the development, review and maintenance of HR policies and procedures used to support the overall business strategy and plans in all business areas. As Employee Relations Associate you will work with representatives across the business to review final policy versions in preparation for publication as controlled documents. You will provide support and guidance to the business representatives to improve on collaborative working, employee engagement and listening to the employee voice. The Employee Relations Associate will also identify and implement improvements with support through appropriate consultation and engagement.
In order to be considered for this role you will need the following:
Fully CIPD qualified (diploma or above)
Previous experience of writing policies and procedures to a high standard – compliant with legislation and in support of business objectives
Previous experience working collaboratively with representative groups
Experience of publishing and communicating policies in a business context
Good understanding of governance and compliance arrangements
Advanced IT skills (Excel and Word essential, MS Project and SAP experience is desirable)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to work flexibly and proactively
Able to turn ideas and input into reality by working with others.
