General Foreman (Highways)

Salary: £420 per day
Matchtech are excited to be working alongside a major Highways contractor in Cumbria, and as result we have a live requirement for an experienced General Foreman.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
You will be working alongside a Site Agent to manage small team of subcontractors and deliver small work packages (predominantly drainage & resurfacing) on the A66 from Cumbria to Bowes.
Role will involve:
– Briefing the gangs on safety briefings, ensuring PPE is adhered to correctly and carry out depot safety and environmental inspections in accordance with the contract requirements
– Provide any technical support to the gangs as necessary
– Daily & weekly planning
– Resource planning including materials and equipment to be used
Ideal candidates will demonstrate the following:
• Proven experience in delivering Highway/Civil Engineering Contracts
• Technical knowledge related to highways.
Must have highways experience Gold/White/Black CSCS & SSSTS (equivalent or greater required) Working hours will vary between 8pm to 6am. Weekend work likely to be included.
