Salary: £26,000 – £32,760 per year
We are a recruiting for a Adhoc and ongoing Night Support Worker to assist our client in South West London.
The ideal candidates must have previous experience working in a hostel setting and have experience supporting complex needs service users from 16 to 25 year old.
Reporting to the team leader, the support worker is responsible for the provision of person centred support, which includes intimate personal care to the people accessing our client’s services. To attend training and supervision sessions and to carry out all assigned duties in accordance with their policies and procedures.
Our client offers homeless 16 – 25 year olds a safe place to stay for up to a year whilst developing the skills that will enable them to go on and build an independent life.
Many of our client’s residents have complex needs and the Centre offers a range of on-site services and works closely with a range of other agencies to provide specialist support that will enable clients to address the obstacles that they are facing and empower them to achieve more.

Essential
Experience of working in supported housing, preferably including hostels.
Experience of working with vulnerable young people with complex needs, e.g. mental health, substance misuse, street homelessness, dual diagnoses etc.
Demonstrable commitment to achieving fair access to services by a diverse group of users and staff.
Demonstrable success in achieving high performance in all aspects of housing management e.g. arrears management, issuing licence / tenancy agreements, managing voids, health and safety.
Thorough understanding of safeguarding in practice.
Commitment to meaningful client involvement and the ability to involve clients in the running of the service and organisation.
Ability to lead, motivate and develop staff by providing clear guidance and direction.
Experience of implementing developments to improve service delivery
Strong analytical skills
Proven ability to reflect on experience and use learning to improve practice
Ability to organise and prioritise your workload to meet deadlines, as well as knowing when to seek support.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Numeracy skills that enable you to develop personal budgets, reconcile petty cash, etc.
High level of IT literacy including use of databases, spreadsheets and efficient use of email.You must hold a current DBS or be willing to apply for one at your own cost to be considered.
