Media Strategist with Strong Digital

The Role

As Digital Strategist at this leading media owner you will work on ideas for large digital partnerships, bridging the gap between commercial and editorial in order to facilitate successful projects for their commercial partners. You will work with the existing insight team and will create a series of proactive insight pieces to take to market, both to clients and to senior media agency contacts. In addition to creating regular thought pieces you will also set up collaborative creativity sessions with the Sponsorship, Content and Digital Strategy teams at Media Agencies and PR Agencies.

This is not a sales role, you would be working on the strategy – they have a separate sales team. Whilst this role is digital strategy, they also need someone who has a strong knowledge of all media. In the future it is likely this role would turn in to more of a generalist role. This role should be viewed as a ‘Creative Planning role’ where you be working across a number of verticals which are likely to include Retail, Automotive, luxury, finance, Telco.

Your Profile

You will be a natural ‘ideas person’ whose expertise lies in ‘ideation’, brainstorming and looking at the bigger picture. You will be a natural at getting people excited by your ideas. Whilst this role is digital strategy, they also need someone who has a strong knowledge of all media so you will either come from a generalist comms planning background or if from a digital planning background you will be interested in offline too. You will have around 6 to 8 years media agency experience and be keen to embark on a new challenge!
