Position: Software Test Engineer

Location: Guildford, Surrey

Salary: £48,000 – £60,000+ excellent benefits

Essential Skills:

–

· A good degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computing or similar subject

Experience

· Experience of working in Engineering environment.

· Proven experience working in Software Development Teams

· Experience of complex Software/Hardware systems including embedded Operating Systems. E.g. VxWorks, QNX, RTEMS…

· Work with high-reliability software standards, preferably ESA ECSS standards

· Testing of complex software systems

Knowledge & Skills

Essential

· Good Team working skills.

· Excellent verbal & written communication skills

· Flexible and able to work under pressure

· Knowledge of Software Development Principles

· Development/Configuration of test systems.

· Experience of Writing Verification & Test plans

· Appreciation of Configuration/Version control issues.

· Highly organised; good project/time management skills.

· Methodical and structured work approach

· Able to take on responsibility and be proactive in a dynamic project environment

· Modern Regression Test Systems & Test Frameworks.

Desirable

Knowledge of Spacecraft Systems

Ground System Technologies – Web Servers, Virtual Machines & Distributed Systems.
