Shift Supervisor – Yorkshire

Our client, a leading food manufacturer based in Yorkshire who supply the top 4 of the UK’s leading multiple food retailers currently recruiting a Production Shift Supervisor responsible for the leadership and development of the production team, you will be expected to take supervisory leadership of your shift. You will be involved in leading continuous improvement projects, exceeding set KPI’s and coaching your production team.

Shift Supervisor Role

• You will provide leadership to the Shift Production team and to manage the day to day activities in the factory to meet daily and weekly KPI’s and drive safety, quality, customer service, efficiency and cost improvements through the team by working with other operational departments.
• You will also maintain and develop a safe, quality conscious and technically sound workplace culture.

Shift Supervisor Candidate

• Ideally you will have good people management skills with the ability to motivate the team as well as having Chilled Food manufacturing experience.
• An understanding of KPI’s (Safety, Quality, Customer Service, Cost) and an accurate work ethic with attention to detail is essential.
• Along with Basic PC skills, Excel, Word & Email.
• The successful candidate will have excellent managerial and team building abilities with experience in a similar role. You must be able to work proficiently under pressure in order to continue the smooth running and high standard requirements of this successful manufacturer.
• Experience of SMED, 5s, Kaizan and other CI methods.
