Materials Controller

Salary: £32,400 – £36,000 per year

Materials Controller, WF11, Salary 27-30k, Monday to Thursday 8.30 – 5, Friday 8.30 – 4.30, Pension, 25 days holiday, annual pay increases

Arlington Moore are working on behalf of a successful manufacturing company who are looking for a Materials Controller to join their busy team.

This is a newly appointed role due to company growth but is also a role which will evolve therefore would suit someone who is ambitious and driven.

Working as the Materials Controller you will be responsible for assisting the Manager in the efficient and cost effective running of the department, planning to achieve both efficient utilisation of products and manage the stock.

Responsibilities of the materials Controller include;

* Managing the day to day flow of materials

* Managing the ordering of materials in support of the plan

* Controlling the warehouse elements, both physically and on the system – MRP

* Maintaining accurate Master data control

* Producing management reports when needed

* Regular contact with suppliers to maintain quality and acceptable pricing of supplies

* Identifying any potential cost savings

* Initiating and driving continuous improvement activities to reduce cost and improve quality

* Reviewing costs and implementing cost saving measures

We are looking for a Materials Manager who has experience in manufacturing or engineering, who is assertive and is able to effectively problem solve. This role will evolve too so we are looking for someone who is capable of analysing where savings can be made with materials used for production and processes used to manufacture them.
