Learning Support Assistant Required for Dyslexia Intervention

A high achieving primary school in Ilkley are looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to provide specialist 1-2-1 support to a Year 6 pupil with severe Autism.

The ideal candidate will have considerable experience supporting pupils with Dyslexia and/or various learning difficulties and will possess excellent subject knowledge, including prior experience supporting pupils through Key Stage 2 SATs.

You will be responsible for supporting one pupil with severe Dyslexia, liaising with the parents, class teacher and SENCo, contributing to and following the IEP and monitoring the child’s progress.

The role is to start at the end of January however a crossover/handover arrangements may be required prior to the start date. The initial contract will be for 2 terms, till the end of the academic year.

The ideal candidate will be confident and successful in leading literacy and numeracy intervention and will possess a good understanding of the curriculum.

To be eligible, you must:

* Hold a valid DBS disclosure and be registered with the update service.
* Hold the right to work within the UK.
* Have UK teaching experience and strong knowledge of the national curriculum.
* Relevant experience and qualifications preferable.
* Be creative and innovative.
* Have drive and tenacity.
