Our Manufacturing Client based in Keighley has a permanent opportunity for an IT Data assistant. Responsible to the IT Manager & IT Analyst Internal contacts you will be required to liaise closely with managers and supervisors throughout the company and other production staff at all levels.
Job purpose:
To ensure the continued accuracy and relevance of the manufacturing and quality data in reflecting the organizations own processes and in meeting customers’ specific requirements and expectations.
To provide management with timely and accurate performance data.
Duties:
Using Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP system:-
Creating Manufacturing Quality Control Plans for new items, trials rework batches.
Reading/capturing specifications from engineering drawings.
Implementing changes to manufacturing process controls that have gone through our workflow system.
Dealing with ad hoc and continual concession requests from manufacturing departments.
Monthly and weekly performance data analysis and reporting.
To perform these duties you will have to develop a good understanding of our products and manufacturing processes.
Authority:
To veto any requested changes to the quality control or quality management systems that are in conflict with the requirements of TS 16949, the companys quality policy or the customers’ specific requirements.
Person Specification
Qualifications: (Desirable)
GCSE (or equivalent) 5 passes including Maths and English Experience:
Previous experience in engineering/manufacturing environment.
Previous experience working with Microsoft products.
Previous experience of an in house ERP system (Not essential).
Knowledge and skills:
Computing skills (with strong knowledge of Excel).
Excellent numeracy skills.
Attention to detail.
Interpersonal, communication and decision making skills.
Personal:
Self-motivated
Able to make decisions
Able to communicate well at all levels (English speaking first language)
The position holder shall promote good housekeeping throughout the facility and their own working area
The position holder must be of smart appearance and well presented at all times
Attention to detail is paramount, exposure to key business customers ‘Right first time’ philosophy to be encouraged company wide.
Hours of work are 7.30am-4.30pm Monday to Thursday with a 12.30pm finish on a Friday, 39 hours per week. Benefits include 33 days holiday (Inclusive of stats) and free parking. Company sick scheme and pension scheme in place after qualifying periods.
