Mobile Service Engineer

Job Purpose: To carry out PPM, Recommendations and aspects of machine maintenance in accordance with our customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

Undertake all aspects planned preventative maintenance and suggest improvements.

Complete plant service rota efficiently.

Maintain the safety and well-being of self and others, in accordance with relevant Health & Safety legislation.

Responsible for mechanical and electrical fault finding.

Responsible for electrical and mechanical repairs.

Liase with engineering personnel to actively support innovation and improvements.

Ensure effective, timely incident / accident reporting. Learn from incidents and develop strategies which prevent the same thing from happening again

Ensure effective time management / prioritisation of workload
An enthusiastic and motivated multi skilled engineer, with an autonomous approach, ability to be proactive as working on own initiative will be frequent.

Good organisational and communication skills.

Ability to work to dead-lines and under extreme pressure.

Technically competent in all aspects of the relevant distribution / sortation systems.

PC literate with excellent communications skills capable of dealing with people at all levels within the organisation.

Minimum 5 – 7 yrs of engineering experience in a similar operation in parcel handling or FMCG/manufacturing.

Inverter drives, SCADA control, profibus, Asi, PC / PLC control would be advantageous.

Qualifications required: City and Guilds or equivalent recognised apprenticeship.
