SQL Developer

This is a great opportunity to assist a company with an exciting project where you will be able to work collaboratively with the project team to build the requirements.

They are open minded to employment opportunities, whether that be employed or self employed (PAYE or Contractor/Limited Company) they can accommodate all requirements.

They expect the role to be working 2 days per week on site and the initial contract length is expected to be around 3 months, although they expect that for the right person who is willing, can continue on projects for up to 12 months or more.

As a SQL Developer, you will need to demonstrate initiative, drive and a positive attitude.

You will be friendly, helpful and a keen organiser who is able to prioritise exceptionally well.

You’ll have proven experience manipulating data from the data source (SQL) to other Microsoft products (Excel/SSRS/SSAS). You’ll be involved in all aspects of the software life cycle including requirements gathering and elicitation, design, implementation, testing and maintenance.

In addition to your understanding of SQL Server you’ll bring with you experience of:

• Database Design and normalisation techniques
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, SQL and Stored Procedures
• Strong understanding of API Data integration
• Experience of developing enterprise-level applications.
• Communicating IT ideas to non-IT users and vice versa
• 3+ years experience developing databases with Microsoft SQL Server
• Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• Advanced Excel Data Modelling
• Demonstrate initiative, self-drive and a positive attitude
• Excellent attention to detail with an appreciation of how your tasks impact the wider company goals
• Strong organisational skills, understanding of the importance for clear and concise documentation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
