Highways Lighting Electrician

Salary: £34,594 per year

My client is a large Construction & Maintenance contractor based in East Yorkshire who are expanding their work force year on year to take on more work in and around the local area. They are presently employing around 500 people and have a turnover of £50m and they have some ambitious plans in place to grow this again over the coming years.

Purpose / key responsibilities:

* To carry out all works, other than electrical supplies owned or operated by a Distribution Network Operator, associated with the electrical systems for outdoor lighting installations, highway power supplies, equipment, and street furniture.

* To cooperate with the Company in the maintenance and upgrade of all systems associated with outdoor lighting installations, highway power supplies, equipment, and street furniture to the complete satisfaction and enjoyment of the end user.

* To carry out all works that are safe and without danger and damage to persons and property in the reasonable use of electrical systems associated with outdoor lighting installations, highway power supplies, equipment, and street furniture.

Requirements & Qualifications

Essential

* Full UK Driving License

* 17th or 18th IEE Qualified or equivalent.

Desirable but not essential

* IPAF 1b

* Experience working on external lighting and signage
