Heavy Plant Engineer: West Berkshire

Salary: £15per hour – £14/hour

Alecto Recruitment currently has a vacancy for a Heavy Plant Engineer for one of our clients – an extremely reputable new and used plant and machinery supplier.

Our client is a leading SME business specialising in the supply of new and used plant and machinery for earth-moving, construction, demolition, recycling and agriculture. The ideal candidate will be based in the Kent, Sussex or East London areas with excellent experience in Heavy Plant Engineering.

Duties & Responsibilities:

As a Heavy Plant Engineer, you ideally will be working within the plant hire/crane industry in a field service role.

You will ideally have a working knowledge of tower, crawler or self erecting cranes or have a very strong background within Heavy Plant.

The ideal candidate will have vast experience across repair and service.

You will be responsible for carrying out servicing and warranty inspections on cranes and need to accurately diagnose and rectify faults on cranes, hydraulics/electric’s and pneumatics.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

Must be experienced working as a field service engineer attending breakdowns at customers sites Trouble shoot and fault find any defects on machines and carry out repairs.

You will need to have knowledge auto-electrics; engines, transmissions, hydraulics and pneumatics Ability to diagnose faults on heavy construction plant such as Diggers, Dumpers & Excavators, HGV, & trucks.
