Commercial / Financial Assistant

Due to growth within their business our client has an opportunity for a Commercial / Financial Assistant to report into the Financial Controller and aid the reporting of financials at their third party distribution site.
The role will involve preparing weekly and daily site running costs including margin reporting, reporting on temporary workforce costs against budget, completion of base cost analysis and variances. You will maintain a good working relationship between Finance and Operations to ensure data is accurate and reports are developed on an ongoing basis. You will complete sales and purchase ledgers and general accounting duties along with supporting the Financial Controller on any ad-hoc analysis.
The successful candidate will have experience of working on a high volume purchase ledger and preferably with experience of working within a logistics / distribution third party environment. You will have strong finance skills and the ability to juggle a variety of tasks in a time pressured environment where re-prioritizing is normal. Solid analytical and data interpretation skills are a must along with good communication skills. Knowledge of SAP and Navision would be an advantage.
