A leading financial software vendor is looking to add to their support team an Application Support Analyst.
The vendor is a hosted real-time portfolio and risk management platform, supporting globally located clients. You will become a member of an international team of IT professionals running and supporting a 24/7 mission-critical financial trading and risk management system: supporting and troubleshooting automated process, monitoring performance and reliability, second tier user support assisting the trade support desk.
The role will involve BAU Support alongside Project Work, and interacting with the client base daily. Their clients include various top hedge funds and asset management houses.
You will also be trained to participate in the design and development of software and processes (Perl/Shell Scripting), in order to enhance client service. In addition you will coordinate with DBA, Unix Systems Administrators and development teams.
The Application Support Analyst will have:
Extensive Unix/Linux skills, command line, shell scripting (Perl, Bash, Shell etc)
Strong SQL skills
At least 2 years production support experience
A proactive nature and have the ability to work independently
Knowledge of the financial industry, Equities, Derivatives, Risk Management, Portfolio Management
This role is based in Central London, and will pay up to £48,000 – £54,000base salary, plus benefits. Working hours are 9am until 6pm and there is no weekend or on-call work.
