Exciting opportunities with great career potential are available to join a leading retailer at their fully automated distribution centre in Derbyshire as Warehouse Shift Managers.

The Warehouse Shift Managers are on a Days (c6-2) and Afternoons (c2-10) shift pattern or there is also a Perm Nights shift (c10-6). All shifts operating on 8 hours. Night shifts include an additional 25% shift premium.
Role Description
The Warehouse Shift Team Managers are responsible for managing the people and processes within a set operational area of the automated distribution centre. You will also be responsible for delivering a safe, efficient working environment embracing a culture of operational excellence whilst providing best in class service.
The role includes:
* Managing direct reports consisting of permanent and temporary Operatives. Teams include Warehouse Colleagues, Team Co-ordinators and Coaches.
* Deliver daily site targets as defined by customer requirements and site targets
* Drive cross functional working as one team to ensure delivery of site KPI’s
* Manage Customer Failure Rate (CFR) to deliver target in pursuit of 100% delivery all the time
* Analyse reports and data to ensure progress is in line with target/expectation
* Minimise stock inaccuracy at all stages
Provide clear and concise handovers at all shift changes passing all of the key information and learnings to the oncoming shift
Participate in regular reviews of operational process, the maintenance and review of SOP’s and Risk Assessments
* Identifying measures that will lead to improved productivity levels
* Ensuring compliance with all issues relating to Health & Safety, the Environment and Security
* Inventory Management Integrity
* Monitor the packaging of products for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling)
You will need to have experience in the following roles to be considered, Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Team Leader or in a similar role in an automated manufacturing site.
Key Requirements:
* Experience managing teams of warehouse / production operatives and agency staff.
* Experience of disciplinaries, one to one reviews and back to work reviews etc.
* Ability to work autonomously and be self-sufficient and proactive.
* Good understanding of the end to end process within a Distribution Centre
* Customer focussed and aware of the external and internal customer requirements for quality, efficiency and accuracy.
* Understanding of Operational Excellence / Continuous improvement tools, techniques and problem resolution skills
Desirable
* Experience of working in a large scale automated distribution facility, preferably with experience of working with multiple MHE solution providers
* Project management experience
