Full-time, hours of work: 37hrs (8.00am -7.00pm flexible)
Our client is currently seeking a Surveyor to join their team, they provide repairs and maintenance services to 20,000 properties, primarily within their Group, but also externally. With their team hoping to grow to over 250 employees this year, this is an exciting area of the business to be a part of.
The main purpose of this role is ensure the efficient and effective supervision of the voids team delivering void property repairs for parts of their groups in Birmingham.
Within this role your main responsibilities will include line management responsibility for a small voids team of Trade Engineers; carrying out surveys and pre-inspections of void and tenanted dwellings; preparing schedules of works using schedules of rates; and supervising and coordinating the work of internal and external contractors.
The successful candidate will have worked within a similar role previously and will have experience of managing a demanding workload with challenging and conflicting deadlines. You will organise your own workload with optimum effect so that you can manage the large volume of issues which must be dealt with on a daily and on-going basis. Extensive knowledge of building construction processes, building regulations, and health and safety regulation is essential. You will need to demonstrate excellent customer service skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively to a range of stakeholders.
