Structural Analysis Engineer – Automotive

Salary: £72 per hour

Expleo currently have an opportunity for both a Mid Level and a Senior Engineer with experience in Structural Analysis, to support a brand renowned for their unique and futuristic vision for the automotive industry. Their highly efficient and advanced approach to the design, prototype and development of vehicles, means that they require a Senior Structural Analysis Engineer to guide design and achieve component and assembly targets for mass, stiffness and durability.

The Senior Structural Analysis Engineer will be expected to liaise with the design, development, project management, commercial, prototype and production manufacturing teams, technical partners and suppliers to ensure the designs meet the requirements for timing, performance, manufacturability and cost.

The following attributes are required;
– Demonstrable experience using FEA techniques
– Knowledge of crash and safety legislation and consumer test requirements for different world regions
– Hand calculations to support the FE analysis
– Experience of analysing test data and correlation to CAE result

For the Structural Analysis Engineer role, we require candidates to be educated to a degree level in a mechanical or aeronautical discipline, with at least 5 years relevant automotive experience.
