Stores Assistant

JOB TITLE: Stores Assistant

DEPARTMENT: Production

The job holder will be primarily located at the company’s premises in Middlesex, England.

To assist the Storekeeper with stock control and Goods In / Goods Out.

a) To assist the Stores Keeper with loading / unloading goods (by hand and with forklift) counter balance and reach
b) Inspection of delivered goods/electro-mechanical
c) To assist the Storekeeper to book in returns and items for repair/warranty evaluation
d) To book in deliveries on stock control system
e) To move materials to and from stores locations
f) To assist assembly staff with the packing of finished goods for shipping
g) To keeping the stores area safe, tidy and presentable
h) To book components out to kitting reports
i) Driving to collect and deliver goods to/from suppliers, customers and local remote storage facility.
Accountabilities:
a) Adhering to company policies, including Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental.
b) Diligence with checking, counting, entering data, and handling products.
c) Safe operation of Fork Lifts and other materials handling equipment.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
a) Previous experience as a stores assistant/manufacturing.
b) Good level of basic education including Maths and English.
c) Hold a current valid Drivers License and have experience of driving vans (up to Luton size).
d) Hold current counterbalance and reach-truck forklift licenses.
e) Be physically fit for manual handling.
f) Possess basic IT skills (preferably experienced with stock control systems, spreadsheets and emails).
