Software Engineer

Salary: £74.4 per hour

My client is one of the world’s largest automotive OEM’s with a product lineup desired across the globe by millions. They currently seek a Software Engineer to join them on a long-term contract basis.

Position Description:

* Software Engineer working as part of a dedicated Product Team (Agile)

* Working closely with other software engineers in a collaborative (Paired Programming) manner, along with key product team members: Product Anchor, Product Manager Product Designer and Product Owner.

* Will be delivering working software and Product optimisations from a prioritised backlog which is organised into two-week sprints.

* Software development will be focused around quality of delivery and a demonstration of customer focus in the design and implementation approach.

* The Product itself is focused around the Online Account Management experience for Ford Credit Europe (FCE) customers along with the Customer Loyalty & Renewals landscape that FCE is expanding further into.

* Micro-services in Java (4+ Yrs), using Spring framework on a PCF platform (or equivalent), ReactJS and/or Adobe Experience Manager (2+ Yrs), SQL Server databases

Skills Required:

* Splunk

* Dynatrace (Application Monitoring Tools)

* Alteryx

* Database Design/Management

Experience Required:

* Agile/PDO Software delivery from prioritised backlog

* Paired Programming

* Software Craftsmanship (Techniques & Best Practises)

* Mentoring & Guiding Junior Developers

Education Required:

* 2.2 Degree or equivalent

Additional Information:

* Role based in Dunton Campus, Essex; however due to current COVID restrictions teams are working remotely from their home locations until such time as we can return to the office environment.

* No Travel Required
