Salary: £36 – £38.4 per hour

Assystem are currently looking to recruit a Senior Process Engineering Role working within the Strategy and Technical Team.

As a Senior Process Engineer your responsibilities will include:

  • Producing calculations, analyses, models, technical base line documentation and technical reports.
  • Liaising with plant facing team to develop learning plans.
  • Use data collected from learning plan to underpin operational practice improvements and technical baseline development.
  • Producing technical specifications such as Task Charters, ensure that the S&T intent is delivered by groups outside S&T.
  • Producing Study Briefs.
  • Ensuring that procedures, codes and standards are correctly identified and applied to engineering and technical activities
  • Knowledge of safety case principles
  • Knowledge & understanding of: types and sources of radioactive waste and associated hazards; classification of wastes; storage and management of nuclear waste; retrieval and treatment of nuclear waste; environmental impacts of nuclear waste management; site investigation methods
  • Degree qualified in a science or engineering subject.
  • Chartered or working towards chartership
  • Knowledge of physics/chemistry aspects of radioactive wastes
