About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Operations Manager to join our team here in Corby.
In this role you will own and be responsible for the performance of your shift manager direct reports and for the internal and external service, safety and cost KPI’s of your department. You will support the Site Manager in the efficient day to day management of the distribution centre ensuring all process and procedures are carried out in line with agreed budgetary and service goals; and in line with best practice and legislation.
What You Do
- Providing your team with clear leadership, communication, guidance and support to ensure the right process and procedures are followed and performance metrics are achieved.
- Develop and maintain a high performing team, through actively coaching, developing and supporting your shift managers, addressing any skills gaps.
- Ensure your team are following standard operating procedures.
- To lead, develop and instil Company values in order to maximise behaviour, performance and standards throughout the DC operation.
- To plan and monitor daily/weekly labour against predicted volumes, identifying any excess/shortfalls and reacting accordingly.
- To monitor and maximise the ongoing progress of the day to day operation.
- To analyse and achieve the period KPI results and identify and implement improvement plans.

About You
- Demonstrate board understanding of Retail Fashion, FMCG and/or Homeware Ecommerce distribution centre
- Proven track record of managing performance, productivity, control of absence and sickness
- Ability to demonstrate an excellent customer and colleague focus
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Highly organised, experienced in working under pressure and multi-tasking
