Our client is a world-leading professional services company, with 97 offices around the globe. They offer independent advice and safeguard the commercial interests of clients embarking on investment programmes across real estate, infrastructure and natural resources.

They are currently recruiting for the position of Senior Cost Manager, based in South West England, UK.

Job Description

* To work as Cost Manager within the South West and South Wales Infrastructure team.
* Has the ability to operate effectively within a co-located environment with the Client’s, Consultant’s and Contractor’s project delivery teams.
* Ability to work within a partnering environment, form effective working relationships and make a positive outcome to the investment programme/sub-programme.
* Commercial Administration of a portfolio of projects.
* Production of costs plans, estimates, bench marking analysis of schemes, awareness of WLCs.
* Support the production of commercial reports incorporating metrics.
* Experienced in change, risk and value management.
* Identifying new opportunities and support in the development of bids/tenders.
* Support and develop Assistant Cost Managers and the commercial team.

Skills and Experience

* Candidate will have a construction or infrastructure background in at least one of the following sectors: water, gas, power, rail, light rail/trams, highways, environmental or regulated industries.
* Contract background in at least one of the following contracts: NEC, ICE, JCT or FIDIC.
* Preferably degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline, project management or surveying.
* Associate or full membership of an appropriate professional institution.
* Solid appreciation of Cost Management of multiple multi-discipline engineering design and construction projects.
* Both site and office based experience on a variety of projects including civil and building infrastructure projects.

This is a permanent position.

The salary for this position is negotiable.
