SC Education Recruitment is looking to recruit a SEND Primary Learning Support Assistant to cover a mid to long term support role in the Wakefield area.

The role is due to start ASAP and could potentially last up until the end of the academic year. Due to the nature of the young people you will be working with it is important that we find someone who can commit to the whole duration of the vacancy.

The Successful candidate will have:

* A minimum of 1 years’ experience working with children and young people with medical and disability needs

* Experience supporting children and young people with complex needs

* The skills to use basic Makaton (Not essential but very desirable)

* Experience working on physical and sensory development

* Experience with social communication needs

* A calm and non-judgmental approach

* A genuine passion to support children and young people

* Dedication and commitment to the students and the role (essential)
