SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary: £26,000 – £26,520 per year

Smart Education are looking for a qualified Teaching Assistant to have the opportunity to work in one of our Special Needs schools in Bromsgove. We build great relationships with our schools and support staff so we can find the best placements for you.

A mixed community day special school catering for students aged 4-19 who have a learning disability as their primary difficulty, many of whom also have associated sensory or communication difficulties. Over the past few years, the difficulties the pupils are displaying are more complex in terms of behaviours and the severity of these.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work collaboratively with the classroom teacher with their responsibility for the development and education of children, including those with special physical, emotional and educational needs, by utilising detailed knowledge and specialist skills in specialist discipline being fully involved in all stages of the planning cycle

The successful candidate will be level 2 qualified and own a calm, patient, and caring persona, it is important that you have excellent communication skills and a good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines.

Qualifications Required: Level 2 or equivalent. 6+ Months minimum experience

Salary: £26,000 – £26,520per year

Hours: Monday to Friday
