Semi-Skilled Temporary Worker

Role Title: Semi-skilled Temporary worker
Contract length: The initial period of employment would be for 1 month, commencing in April. This would then be reviewed on a rolling 1-Month Contract.
Location: Leeds

Our Client, a large Engineering company in Leeds, has a requirement for a semi-skilled temporary worker to help out with logistics / stores work within our Projects / Service Department.

This work would include:

New build products:

• Binning away / Kitting of component parts,
• Preparing parts / components for assembly,
• Assisting skilled Mechanical Engineering Fitters during assembly
• Palletising / Packing completed assemblies,
• General Stores / Warehouse work

Service of existing products:

• Assisting skilled Mechanical Engineering Fitters during Dis-assembly / assembly,
• Cleaning / preparing parts for inspection / re-assembly,
• Kitting of component parts,
• Palletising / Packing completed assemblies,
• General Stores / Warehouse work

Ideally any potential candidates would need to have the following skills / qualifications:

• F.L.T License(s) – Pedestrian Stacker Truck and Counter balance (Flexi Truck license would be of an advantage),
• Slinger & Banksmen Training,
• Overhead Crane awareness / familiarisation

Our Client require a semi-skilled temporary worker, who ideally has experience in the line of material and logistics work supporting Industrial products, i.e. Gear Units, Geared Motors, Motors, or work of a similar nature.

The working hours would be 36.25hrs per week, on a rotating shift basis, which would be:

Week 1 – 06:00 – 14:00 – (Break 09:00 – 09:15, Lunch 12:00-12:30)
Week 2 – 10:00 – 18:00 – (Break 15:45 – 16:00, Lunch 13:00-13:30)

Additional hours are offered, as and where required, should the candidate choose to work them.
