Bids and Content Manager – Restore Records Management
Permanent, Full Time
Salary to £50,000 dependant on experience
Derby / Swadlincote base (must be on site frequently)

Due to growth here at Restore, we have a new, exciting and permanent opportunity for someone who is looking for not just “a job” but a career as a Bid Manager. We are an established organisation with a workforce of over 3,000 and offer the tools, independence, and training needed for you to be successful both in your new role and broader career.

This position would suit someone who has a high attention to detail, with a background of writing bids and tenders for public sector organisations. You will need to be able to communicate effectively with varying levels of client and be able to instil confidence.

Our bid function is a key pillar in our growth strategy. Our current bid team already delivers a success rate of 70%. We are looking for an experienced bid manager to lead the team to maintain this success rate, but also take a strategic approach to improving our bid process, manage communications with the greater business who feed into the bids, and also work with our wider teams to improve the quality of our submissions and our bid library.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the bid team and implement training to progress individuals within the team
Implementation of all necessary bid procedures, governance and processes
Work with our wider teams to improve our bid presentation and content library
To manage the bid qualification (bid go / no go) process for new opportunities
Contributing to the written proposal – both in terms of content and presentation (such as preparation of a management summary)
Ensure timely delivery of compliant and commercially sound bids, flagging all deadlines and bid milestones to the relevant internal stakeholders
ABOUT YOU

Bid Management experience (essential)
Excellent IT skills – Microsoft packages – Word, Outlook, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint. Gantt would also be a desirable skill
Presentation – the ability to present in writing a fluid business proposal
Communication – capable of communicating with a range of stakeholders to ensure that a successful bid comes together and is ready for submission
We store and manage over 22 million items including archive boxes of document files, film and computer tape across a variety of secure storage facilities nationwide. Including cold war Air Force shelters for some of our heritage pieces we store on behalf of the leading museums.
