Painting and Decorating Apprenticeship – NVQ Level 2 and 3

Our client, one of the largest hospital trusts in the country are looking for a Painter/Decorator apprentice to join their meticulous division. The successful apprentice will maintain properly and effectively, all building structures fabric and finishes within the hospital and associated buildings.

Responsibilities:
• To interpret and work from instructions, drawings and specification appropriate to his/her trade without supervision.
• To understand and carry out the preparation of all types of internal/ external surfaces for painting and decorating, using all types of paints and wall coverings.
• To learn new techniques, with training as necessary: to attend training courses as may be required.
• To have an understanding of the relationship of other craftsperson’s work to his/her own trade.
• To be able to work overtime at short notice if available to do so, depending on the needs of the Trust.

Essential requirements:
• The successful apprentice would need City and Guilds Qualification or equivalent in painting/ decorating.

We will be holding an assessment day on either the 5th or 8th of July and a Boot Camp between 20th- 24th July and 27th July – 3rd August. You must be able to attend one of these weeks. Further details will be given if you are shortlisted for the post.
