MECHANICAL PROJECT ENGINEER
My client was established in 1947 with a focus on the UK Coal Mining Industry.. The company is a preferred partner within many industries, and in particular those involved in the processing and handling of bulk materials and those which require specialist heavy industrial Screens, Centrifuges, and Feeders. The company is a world-wide supplier and partner to many major producers and users of Minerals, Steel, Coal, Potash, Sugar and the Brewery sector.
JOB FUNCTION:
Seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to assist in expediting sales from concept to completion. From single standard machines, through to turnkey project management and everything in between.
To meet all engineering in line with the customer’s requirements, whilst ensuring they meet the company’s requirements in terms of the level of risk, and the technical and commercial objectives.
To be a responsible team player in a busy environment.
KEY OBJECTIVES:
To ensure projects are completed on time using the systems provided, and to ensure the proposed solution meets the customer’s needs and objectives.
Be an active part of the sales team, undertaking status and chase up calls to customers etc.
YOU WILL:
– Be a Mechanical Engineer (degree preferably but experience over qualification)
– Come with a proven Project Engineering background
– Be commercially aware
– Autocad 2D proficient
– Solidworks preferred but not essential
– Be conversant with all technical documentation relating to sales/project management
– Have an established engineering background, preferably in bulk materials handling
– Be able to attend sites as required (UK wide)
– Communicating skills at all levels in house at director level and customer meetings at director level.
– Capable of utilising IT systems such as Word, Excel, Autocad & MS Projects
– Able to present to clients, sub-contractors and in house.
