M&E Project Manager (Electrical Bias)

Parkinson Gray Associates have been engaged by our long-standing client, a major national construction group, to assist them with recruiting two M&E Project Managers. This is a large contractor with offices up and down the UK,. They self deliver their building services work and they are seeking to hire for their “Framework” division, working with End Users as they roll out a national program of works.

We are looking for an M&E Project Manager who can take overall profit and loss responsibility for both mechanical and electrical elements of national projects. In fact, our Client is looking for two such Project Managers. This requirement is for an electrically biased Candidate. Whilst electrical will be your initial discipline, you will be sufficiently experienced overall in building services in order to be capable of managing both electrical and mechanical installations. Of course, you will be the necessary technical mechanical backup. Nevertheless, you will be the main focus for full mechanical and electrical projects.

This role is one level above Electrical Project Engineer. Most likely you will be able to demonstrate a successful track record of delivering both elements of M&E projects. You will have gained this experience either within a large national “tier one” building services contractor or a large regional independent M&E Contractor. Whichever route you have taken in your career thus far, you will have been successful in the past and be looking to join a growing team for the next stage of your career.

Of course, there will be travel with this role. Likewise, Client facing is a crucial element of the job. Ideally, you will have worked with end-user Clients on numerous but relatively small projects on a national basis. Experience of working with a banking Client would be ideal.
