BS42 – Maintenance Technician
Location: Rochester
Salary: circa £36,000
A market leading waste recycling company are looking to hire a skilled Maintenance Technician. The working week is 50 hours with an unpaid lunch hour. Overtime is offered at a rate of time and a half. This position would suit ex-military personnel although all applications will be accepted.
Duties and Responsibilities:
– Ensure plant and equipment is kept in good running order.
– Maintain mechanical, electrical and diagnostic equipment.
– Carry out reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
– Ensure that health and safety is the priority whilst on site.
Skills and Qualifications:
– Ideally be qualified through an Engineering Apprenticeship to a minimum of NVQ Level 2.
– Mechanical Bias with a high level of electrical experience.
– Knowledge of equipment including conveyors, motors, gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatics.
– Knowledge of PLC systems.
– Full driving licence
