MB281 – Landscaping Foreman
Location: Birmingham and surrounding counties
Salary: £27,000pa
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm (Flexible due to nature of the work)
Additional Benefits: Overtime opportunities (paid at time and a half), 28 days holiday (inc BH), Pension scheme
Single Source Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Landscaping Foreman on behalf of an exceptional and forward thinking landscaping business. They require a Landscaping Foreman with a strong landscaping background and have worked within a similar role to support them with a variety of projects across Birmingham and the surrounding counties. This is an excellent and exciting opportunity to join a business who reward and nurture their staff.
Duties and Responsibilities of a Landscaping Foreman:
- Day to day management of a landscaping site and staff.
- Oversee and communicate the need for and planning of materials.
- Following design plans and installing gardens covering soft landscaping.
- The job involves travel, working outside all year round and in all weathers.
- You should show flexibility to undertake appropriate training to meet the requirements of the client and fulfil Health and Safety obligations.
- There will manual lifting, digging and paving involved.
- Must be able to work under own initiative and hardworking.
Skills and Qualifications required from a Landscaping Foreman:
- A clear ability to read/set out from plan, understanding of general standard practice in construction, with a wide range of skills well attuned for the industry being essential.
- Experience of the following:
- Setting out – from plan
- Safe use of machinery digging out to established levels
- Use of lazer levels
- Drainage
- Timberwork and general carpentry
- Brick/block laying
- Natural stone or reclamation
- Slab laying/porcelain laying
- Ground preparation and turfing
- Planting
- Practical experience and good knowledge of soft landscaping.
- Full UK Drivers License and own vehicle is essential due to travelling.
