Junior Banking Finance Assistant

Salary: £18 – £21.6 per hour

We are working with our client, a well-known international bank with their search for an Junior Banking Finance Assistant to join their team.

It is essential that all applicants have some previous financial institution experience, ideally working for a UK Bank.

This position provides an exciting opportunity for working within a small team and quickly adapting to cover a broad area of duties

Responsibilities:

• Bookkeeping and general ledger monitoring as well as month-end processing;

• Regulatory returns required by the PRA, FCA and BOE;

• VAT returns;

• Assist with Head Office reporting;

• Assist with budget preparation and financial planning;

• Other duties as assigned by the Head of Operations.

Skills and knowledge:

• At least 2 years of practical experience in accounting, auditing,financial management, related to the banking industry;

• Fluent in English;

• A Bachelor’s degree or above, ideally with an accounting background;

• Experience in dealing with the core banking systems, regulatory reporting software, accounting software will be preferred;

• Candidates holding accounting qualifications will be preferred;

• Team working and an eye for numbers;

• Deadline driven and abilities to work under pressure;

• Excellent communication skills.
