Housekeeping Team Leader

Our client has an exciting vacancy that has arisen in our housekeeping department. Reporting to the Head Housekeeper, you will be responsible for the rooms, apartments and communal corridors ensuring high standards at all times for our guests to enjoy.

Working a 40 hour week straight shifts over five days.

Key Areas of Responsibility

* Responsible for delivering a high standard of cleanliness within the Hotel and communal corridors
* Role modelling behaviour by having a hands on approach on the shop floor with the team.
* Measuring success by monitoring guest feedback and scores for cleanliness.
* Assisting in the recruitment process following HR procedures
* Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety procedures
* Conducting room audits of bedrooms to ensure standards are maintained
* Lead and motivate a team to deliver excellence.
* Ensuring all necessary Company paperwork is completed in line company policies and procedures.
* Providing an atmosphere where the team feels respected and rewarded and communication is open and honest.
* Have the confidence to hold weekly team meetings with the housekeeping team.
* Carrying out team appraisals and following through on actions where necessary
* Follow through on any performance issues and ensuring the team is trained coached and mentored.
* Adherence to company grooming standards.

You should be able to demonstrate

* Flexibility – normal working hours are up to 40 hours but may change due to business circumstances
* A problem solving attitude.
* Able to focus on the detail and prioritise to ensure the biggest positive impact.
* Strong communication skills to allow good relationships between guests and team
* Ability to lead and motivate a team in a high pressured environment
* Have the ability to work from the direction of the Head housekeeper and own initiative.
