HGV Class 2 Driver / Loader

Premier Work Support are recruiting on behalf of our client for HGV Class 2 Driver/Loaders to work Airside at Heathrow Airport.

THE ROLE:
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving HGV class 2 vehicles to and from the Aircraft collecting loads and offloads of cargo.

The candidate will be required to load and unload pallets, so must be physically fit and be prepared to lift heavy loads.

You will be responsible for working to strict deadlines delivering goods to multiple airside locations in a safe and secure manor. Product training in the area of work being undertaken will be given to all successful candidates.

This responsible role requires candidates to be able work as part of a team in a pressurised, time sensitive environment. The role involves a quantity of manual handling so candidates must be physically fit. Successful candidates will be required to work shifts, these will be given at time of induction.

Shifts to cover the operation will be early and late times covering the hours of 05:00 to 2300.
This is a full time role and you must be prepared to work a shift pattern of 4 on 2 off.

REQUIREMENTS:
Full Clean UK Driving Licence
Level D Security clearance
Good Positive Attitude
Smart in Appearance
A current and valid passport
Proof of NI Number (NI Card, P45 or P60)
A 5 year checkable history
No unspent criminal convictions
Live within 1 hour of Heathrow Airport

This is an on-going temporary assignment with the possibility of being made permanent subject to good performance, time keeping and attendance.

Successful candidates will have had no more than 4 jobs in the last 5 years. Preference will be given to candidates who have previously driven airside at Heathrow.
