Health, Safety & Environmental Manager

Salary: £60,000 per year

We are recruiting for an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental Compliance Manager on behalf of a company that prides itself on being big enough to cope but small enough to care for a wide customer base that includes several sectors and industries.

The Health, Safety and Environmental Compliance Manager will lead the development, implementation and management of all compliance related policies and procedures across their business network and provide expert guidance and direction in relation to quality, compliance, Health & Safety issues, and initiatives.

The key responsibilities for this role will be:

• Leading the development, implementation and management of compliance related policies and procedures.
• Developing, maintaining, and managing compliance related policies and procedures through their group of companies.
• Providing expert guidance and direction in relation to quality, compliance, and Health & Safety issues.
• Leading and managing audits and quality reviews, utilising information gained from both inspections and audits across the group.
• Reviewing and updating risk assessments and method statements.
• Providing help and support to the company network as required.
• Delivering, Health, Safety and Environmental compliance training.
• Providing the necessary support and advice within the group in relation to Health & Safety requirements.
• Maintaining their ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001 accreditations.
• Attending sites and depots routinely to promote a safe working environment.
• Liaising with external bodies to ensure the company always remains compliant.

To be considered as the Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance Manager you will need:

• A proven track record in managing Health, Safety and Environmental Compliance in a service related business.
• To have the ability to remain calm under pressure and to deal with an ever changing workload.
• Excellent numerical and communication skills.
• A good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
• As a minimum a NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety.

On offer is a base salary of up to £60,000comprehensive bonus scheme, company vehicle etc.,
