Salary: £48,000 – £60,000 per year

Job Description

Reporting in the QHSE Manager you will be responsible for meeting statutory obligations in terms of all safety, health and welfare matters. The go to person for advice on safety..

* Promote a positive health and safety culture throughout.

* Carry out regular site inspections

* Lead in-house training with managers and employees

* Keep records of inspection findings and produce reports that suggest improvements

* Prepare and issue H&S Briefings

* Represent H&S AT DAILY MANAGEMENT MEETINGS

* Carry out H&S inductions for new starters

* Carry out risk assessments

* Carry out investigations into all accidents and near misses

* Coach and mentor H&S reps and other colleagues

* Implement continuous improvements to drive and improve the S&OP processes.

* Inspire, motivate and develop peers and team members in achieving high levels of safety

The Successful Applicant

The Health & Safety Co-ordinator will come from a Manufacturing Background/Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background and ideally be from the paper, tissue, plastic, Health-care / Pharmaceutical, or FMCG industry.

Experience

* 3 -5 years Health & Safety experience ideally gained within an FMCG environment would be desirable

* Qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, such as NEBOSH, degree or equivalent.

* Strong Health & Safety Champion

* Strong data analysis and reporting skills

* Systematic and rational decision-maker, even under pressure.

* Proven experience in identifying and implementing best practice processes
