Deputy Managing Director-Electronics Manufacturing

A brilliant Opportunity for a Deputy Managing Director for a successful and growing Electronics manufacturing company on the outskirts of Cambridge.

As the Deputy MD, your role will be varied and interesting and focus on the following main areas:

Supporting the sales team-Monitor and checking accuracy of information including AQS checking/signing off, contract review log, job descriptions, general – sales order process, etc.

Supporting the purchasing team: Buying and knowledge of the buying system for electronic components will come in handy here- including franchise, supported prices – design registration. – Ability to check component costing sheets – price, accuracy, buying source to customer requirements – Ability to read Gerber data.

Supporting the production and engineering teams: In depth knowledge of electronic assembly including smt, pth, boxbuild and test. – Understanding the need for team work and continue team building. – Ability to solve technical and production/manufacturing problems. – Ability to solve people problems. – Knowledge of production planning. – Liaise closely with Engineering and Production on any technical and logistical issues concerning customers.

As the IDEAL candidate:

As the ideal candidate you will have an electronics qualification and have worked from the ground up in a manufacturing environment. Sales experience and understanding customer requirements is paramount as sales forecasting will be a vital part of the role. We really need someone who is hands on and a good troubleshooter and problem solver.

We don’t need anyone who wants to implement lot of changes though there will be opportunity to put own stamp on the role further down the line.
