Our client currently has a vacancy for a Community Development Officer to engage and support their tenants and people in the community.

You will be working as part of a lively team of Community Development staff, you will be part of an organisation that is a place for local people, volunteers and agencies to come together and get involved. The role will involve sourcing and working with volunteers and local agencies to create great local networks through community hubs to support tenants and involvement activities.

You will enable and encourage people to become active participants in community life whilst planning projects that promote wealthier, health and friendlier communities. You will support people and local groups to get the most out of where they live, and encourage them to give their time, talents and experience.

Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, a full driving licence and access to own vehicle are all essential, while housing management experience would be a definite advantage although not essential.
