Class 2 HGV Drivers

**HGV Drivers required ** Earn up to £13.8 per hour *

Currently seeking HGV drivers in the Motherwell area. Have you got a Class 2 licence and done HGV driving before? Do you have a keen interest in HGV driving? If you answer yes to those questions, you could be just the person for the job. Whether new to HGV driving, an old hand at it or if you have only been behind the wheel of a HGV a few times, we want to hear from you.

What do we need from you?

Driving an HGV isn’t easy. It takes a lot of training and commitment, and as you know, in this day and age, there are some legal requirements before you can get behind the wheel of an HGV and drive commercially.

* A Full Class 2 Licence
* HGV Driving work undertaken for at least 90 days in the last 180 (Tachograph recorded)
* A good understanding of spoken and written English
* Whilst we will accept up to 6 points on your driving licence, there must be no DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements.
* You must have a Digi Tachograph Card and have a good understanding of the Working Time Regulations.
* You will need your DCPC Card – although Transline do offer CPC training so don’t be put off if you haven’t quite finished your class room hours yet!

As with any job in the transport and logistics sector, flexibility is key. With varied shift start times available, and different runs on offer, we are looking for someone who is open minded, adaptable and overall flexible. A smart appearance and a cheerful outlook on life would suit also, as some of our HGV driving roles are customer facing. Obviously, a knowledge of the local area would be great, but with modern technology these days, it isn’t always required, so don’t let that put you off.
