Job Title: CAD Designer (Furniture/Joinery)

Salary: £30,000 – £48,000DOE

Location: Colchester, Essex

As a CAD Technician your role will be focused on furniture design and detailed drawings for manufacture. This is a great opportunity with potential of long term career development.

The successful candidate will be working closely within a team of 4, you as a CAD Technician will have a certain degree of knowledge in joinery design and drawings. You will also be expected to undertake project design work in accordance to a clients brief using initiative with minimal supervision, and be willing to take responsibility for work produced.

The role will require you to have:
• knowledge of joinery design principles
• good Maths and IT skills
• good communication skills
• good presentation skills
• an understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods of joinery
• good problem-solving skills
• creative ability
• resilience to deal with critical feedback
• the ability to work as part of a team
• the ability to meet deadlines

1 years’ + experience in a joinery design role.
Design experience of joinery parts and assembly.
3D CAD design experience is essential.
Previous roles should have included the production of detail drawings for manufacture.
