My client is a dynamically expanding company in power and automation technologies that focuses on cutting edge market leading technology.

This role is in their motors & drives division which provide products, solutions and related services that increase industrial productivity and energy efficiency.

This opportunity is for an experienced Business Development Manager to join this growing division to develop and manage sales of LV Drives/Electric motors and deliver an agreed sales budget, required profitability and planned growth objectives in line with department business unit strategies.

The role:

This role will be focusing on developing new business across a variety of sectors both in the Uk and internationally.
Meet key turnover and profit targets
Strategic development of the territory
Technical and commercial support of partners, providing excellent customer service
Developing new business and gaining product specification

Essential

Proven track record of sales success in Electric drives and motors
HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering
Understanding of electric motors and variable speed drive use in industry
Excellent customer focus
Business acumen/business development background
Good networking and strong people management skills
Results orientation
Desirable

Currently working as a Sales Engineer in the Electric motors/drives industry.
Working for a Technical Distributor (or wholesaler) selling a range of Factory Automation Equipment to OEMs End Users and System Integrators
Shown progression through CV (engineering/college background, office/internal sales, external sales)
Key words: variable speed drives, motors & drives, LV drives, automation & drives, servo drives, invertor drives, sales engineer, technical sales, sales manager, area sales, regional sales, business development manager

Package:

Basic salary range £42,000 – £54,000depending on experience
Company car
Negotiable bonus scheme
