Salary: £48,000 – £54,000 per year

Business Development Manager –

Location: Remote and field based role, with offices in York.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a modern, reputable manufacturer and supplier of DIY, garden power equipment and outdoor products. This new position will focus on the development of new business opportunities through the DIY national retailers, garden centre and e-commerce channels.

You will:

• Have an excellent proven business development track-record
• Thorough understanding of channel management and brand management
• Demonstrate clear achievements with of successful development of key national accounts within the Retail / Wholesale sector
• Knowledge and understanding of DIY/trade sector in the UK.
• Passionate about success, able to demonstrate flair for recognizing new business opportunities and delivering sales growth through new creative ideas.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills are essential as is the ability to build effective customer relationships at different management levels
• Experience in dealing with Far East manufacturing companies would be an advantage
