Branch Assistant / Sales – Leading Trade Merchant – Job Summary
We are currently recruiting for an ambitious and customer service focused Branch Assistant located in Merthyr Tydfil for a leading Trade Merchant, part of worldwide group of businesses that spans dozens of countries and 1000’s of sites.

The company look for employees able to blend sales & service resulting in developing long-standing relationships with their customers. You will be provided with market leading training. Branch Assistant / Sales – Leading Trade Merchant – Role Responsibility
• Working alongside the Branch and Assistant Manager you will ensure all customers receive the highest possible level of service
• Delivering excellent levels of customer service
• Build rapport with customers face to face
• Ensure all customers are served quickly and accurately
• Support branch team in delivering standards & maintaining stock availability
• Engage with customers on the phone NB this is not a high volume call environment
• Maintain accurate records of sales & stock movements
Branch Assistant / Sales – Leading Trade Merchant – The Ideal Candidate
• Experience in customer service and sales driven environment
• Will need to work 1 in 4 Saturday mornings as paid overtime
• Trade merchant or wholesale background is not essential, although beneficial (merchant, wholesaler, lightside retailer or DIY retail)
• Able to build relationships, both quickly & long term
• Able to demonstrate the drive to achieve
• Have the ambition to push themselves
• Comfortable talking to people on the phone
• Willing to get stuck in and “hands dirty”
• Keen to develop their career in either sales or management
• Show tenacity and resilience
• Driving license – this is preferable but not essential
