Our client is part of a global company that provides innovative software and services to recruitment firms. An exciting opportunity has now arisen for an Assistant Accountant to join their team.

As an Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day accounting and credit control support to our client’s finance function.
Reporting to the Divisional Finance Manager, you will produce invoices, handle supplier payments and VAT returns and collect debts in a timely and accurate manner. You’ll prepare monthly management accounts, undertake purchase and sales ledger activities and oversee credit control.
Your other duties will include:
– Handling bank reconciliations
– Overseeing nominal ledger reconciliations and journals
– Dealing with accruals and prepayments
To be considered for this role, you must have:
– At a minimum, an AAT Level 4 qualification
– Experience of using Sage 50 Accounts software
– Strong MS Excel skills
As an Assistant Accountant, you must possess fantastic organisation, prioritisation and communication skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines. Proactive and driven, you must also have a meticulous attention to detail and a flexible approach.
