Area Sales Manager – Midlands

Our client is a producer of premium quality high-pressure
pumps for global mining and industrial applications. An early innovator in the design and manufacture of high pressure systems for Longwall mining today.

Due to expansion we are now looking for a:-

Area Sales Manager (pump experience) – Midlands

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Area Sales Manager shall be responsible for developing support contract opportunities, and those for associated value added services, from new, existing or dormant users. This ongoing generation and cultivation of support opportunities will take place within a defined geographical area.

The Area Sales Manager shall in accordance with company guidelines track opportunities, build winning strategies for all contacts within every account and achieve order input targets in line with budgeted requirements.

The Area Sales Manager shall forecast such order input in accordance with established company practice and by utlilisation of a Sales Pipeline.

Communicate effectively, both internally and externally, in the written and spoken word.
Prepare quotations and proposals
Attend Sales Meetings, conferences, training events
Provide, as required, feedback on
 Marketing opportunities
 Technical issues
 Competitive position
 Market Intelligence
PERSON SPECIFICATION
• Previous experience in a sales environment essential
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work on own initiative / self starter
• Experience of good territory planning
• Good time management
• Ability to produce reports on current position
• Computer literate
Experience in:-
Sales forecasts.
Gap analysis for account plan ie actual status vs. desired status
Competitor analysis.
Sales Pipeline
Driving licence essential (preferably clean)
