Salary: £26,000per year, depending on age (this is reflective of NMW)

About the apprenticeship programme

Home Group’s apprenticeship programme offers on the job training to our customers and clients of all ages. Benefits of the programme include competitive wages and a great support and mentoring network for our trainees.

Most of our apprenticeships last for 12 months and the majority of our apprentices go on to enjoy permanent roles within Home Group or with other organisations. Our apprenticeships are delivered on site so a Trainer Assessor comes to meet with our apprentices approximately once every six weeks.

About the role

You will be involved in practical tasks working alongside clients, to help them achieve the outcomes outlined in their own individual support/other plans. You will provide clients with a ‘helping hand’ i.e. assisting them with basic tasks to enable them to develop/acquire/maintain basic life skills.

You will assist other workers, by carrying out routine tasks which are closely monitored by more senior staff and report any concerns/difficulties to them.

Please note that any offer of employment is subject to enhanced DBS clearance, the costs of which will be met by Home Group.

Who we’re looking for

You will be an energised and driven individual who has excellent communication skills. Ideally you will have basic computer skills and some experience with Microsoft Office software.

During the apprenticeship you will gain experience in all aspects of the role and will be provided with on the job training along with studying for a relevant professional qualification (NVQ Certificate Level 2 or equivalent). There is opportunity to progress to a higher level traineeship with excellent career progression opportunities within Home Group. Our apprenticeships are open to anyone over 16 living in England.
